The establishment of the Museum of world Buddhism, associated with the Temple of the sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha, constitutes a most adorable exercise in the context of World Buddhism. We are most grateful to his Excellency Mahinda Rajapaksha. President of the Democratic socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, for his gracious act of allocating the site to Diyawadana Nilame has performed a marvelous task in organizing the Museum in a fairly short period with the collaboration of world Buddhist.
I take this opportunity to offer my blessings to all national and international government, bodies and individuals who provided their unstinted effort and knowledge to achieve great success of this noble venture, thus enabling world Buddhists to enlighten themselves on the Buddhist heritage of the world at the most worthy site, the Sri Dalada Maligawa complex.

To witness the practices of Buddhism and the Buddhist heritage of the world under one roof is a rare phenomenon, and that, too, at the sacred site of the Sri Dalada Maligawa. As we understand, all countries where Buddhism is or was prevalent have rallied round Sri Dalada Maligawa. As we understand, all countries where Buddhism is or was relevant have rallied round Sri Dalada Maligawa authorities to establish the Museum of world Buddhism. We bless them all.
His Excellency Mahinda Rajapaksha, the He president of Sri Lanka, Diyawadana Nilame of the Sri Dalada Maligawa the philanthropic institutions and individuals, project planners and expertise, technologists and helpers, all need to be blessed for the respective services he rendered collectively to achieve success in this meritorious and noble exercise.

As the lay custodian of the sacred Tooth Relic of the Sri Dalada Maligawa. I wish to offer my gratitude to his Excellency Mahinda Rajapaksha . President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. For his gracious and benevolent act of donating the newly conserved old High court building located adjacent to Sri Dalada Maligawa. For purpose of establishing the Museum of the World Buddhism.
With the blessing of the most venerable Maha Nayaka Theros of the Malwatta and Asgiriya chapters, the gracious and philanthropic cooperation of the international governments, religious bodies and individuals and with the untiring efforts of the Senior Archaeologist, Prof. Leelananda Prematilleke and specialist team together with Sri Dalada Maligawa coordinators, we are pleased to present the first Museum of the World Buddhism organized by the Sri Dalada maligawa for the serene enjoyment of world Buddhists.
